THE SMG CULTURE
Darren Ginns, the founder of SMG, came to Nassau during the mid-nineties as a partner in the Whistler Development Company to head up the construction of Sunnyside Estates, a 21-unit, 6-storey condominium project in Lyford Cay. On the completion of Sunnyside Estates, Darren took his expertise to develop SMG Construction. During these early years, S.M.G. has been devoted to supplying the highest quality of custom homes to luxurious residences in Lyford Cay, Old Fort Bay, and Albany.
This applicant must have at least five (5) years experience, knowledge of v-carve, and familiarity with Mozaik software.
Other Skills Required:
Familiarity with millwork/woodwork is preferred.
Operational and technical knowledge of CNC machinery is required.
Ability to trouble shoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Familiarity with fuses, contactors and relays is preferred.
Familiarity with AC and DC currents is preferred.
Ability to wire 3-phased machinery is preferred.
Ability to plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
Ability to program CNC including setting zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements.
Ability to maintain quality specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls.
All applicants must have at least two (2) years experience in a logistics position or warehouse coordination.
•Assist with the logistics and inventory control of materials.
•Assist with loading/unloading, sorting, stocking and packaging materials.
•Provide Support for Team Lead in completing various paperwork and documentation.
•Maintain updated records of invoices and purchase orders.
•Completing administrative tasks as required.
